Sales spots and leasing of land

You can lease sales spots and the city’s public areas, such as parks and streets, for several different purposes.  You can also lease some water areas. On this site, we will explain what kinds of permits are required and what regulations apply to leasing these areas.

Fixed kiosk spots
Kiosk spots are sales spots intended for selling ice cream, grill products and other food items. You can apply for a fixed or a seasonal kiosk spot.
Temporary and seasonal sales spots
We lease out sales spots for public holidays and urban events. Seasonal sales spots are usually available for leasing for 1–2 days at a time.
Renting land or water areas for short-term operations
We lease out the city’s land and water areas for a variety of temporary or small-scale operations.
Permit for a sales spot in front of a shop
You can use the pavement in front of your shop for presentation and sales operations without the city’s permission under certain conditions. Check when you won’t need a permit.
Christmas tree sales spots
We provides sales spots for Christmas tree vendors on the city’s market squares, in parks and on plazas. The sales spots are auctioned out in October and November.
Leasing out play areas and additional yards to daycare centres
Daycare centres can use the city’s parks as play areas or rent public areas as additional play areas.
