Daycare Suurmetsä is a small, home-like daycare center located near Jakomäki. The center has four groups of children: the 1-3-year-olds (Mansikat and Mustikat) and the 3-5-year-olds (Vadelmat and Puolukat). Our staff also includes a special education teacher for early childhood education, Liina Mölder, and a needs-based teacher, Marja Lindroth.
Our values are equity, equality, and diversity. We approach children with sensitivity and treat each one as an individual. The daycare's outdoor area and the surrounding neighborhood offer diverse opportunities for physical activity and excursions. During this operational term, we are focusing particularly on reading and on developing our learning environments to make them inviting for play.
The phone number for the Vadelmat group is active whenever the daycare is open.
