The City of Helsinki is the largest operator engaging in public procurement in Finland. The competitive tendering of procurements is centralised to the divisions, offices of public officials and enterprises of the City of Helsinki.
The OpenProcurement.fi service offers information to private individuals and companies on procurement by the Finnish government and municipalities. Private individuals can use the service to find information on what services and products the Finnish government and municipalities purchase as well as how public funds are spent. Companies can use the service to find information on the market conditions.
