The water quality at Puotila beach may have deteriorated. The deterioration of the bathing water quality is suspected to be caused by stormwater and surface runoff in the area.
Swimming is not recommended at Puotila beach for the time being.

Puotila beach

The Puotila beach can be found next to Itäkeskus, about 15 minutes walk from the metro station.

Puotila beach is a sandy beach near Itäkeskus, about half an hour from the Itäkeskus metro station by foot.

You can check the water quality, temperature and blue-green algae situation of the beach via the ulkoliikunta.fi map service during the summer season. Lifeguards supervise the beach during the swimming season.

In addition to changing shelter and toilet and shower facilities, the beach has a volleyball court, an outdoor gym and a playground for children.

How to get there: The beach has no parking area. However, you can easily reach the beach by public transport, for example.
