We offer easily accessible mental health services through our low-threshold options, available at your own health station or our dedicated Mental Health Service Unit Mieppi.

If a mental health disorder persists or becomes more severe, you may be referred to our other support services.

Digimieli Service
The Digimieli self-care programmes can help you with anxiety symptoms, depression and emotional instability.
Mental Health Service Unit Mieppi
Are you feeling concerned about your coping abilities? Is there something troubling you, or would you appreciate the opportunity to discuss your life situation with someone? Feel free to contact us; no referral is required.
Therapy Navigator
If you’re seeking mental health services as a new client, fill out the Therapy Navigator first. The Therapy Navigator is intended for adults.
Health stations
At a health station, you can speak with a nurse or doctor, who can also refer you to a specialised nurse experienced in mental health and substance abuse work.
School health care
If you are a pupil, please contact the health care services of your school first.
Student health care
If you are a student, please contact the health care services of your educational institution first.

Mental health support services for the elderly
We promote your mental well-being through our service centres' peer support groups, including Kööri, Peesi, Vire, Toivo, and Pilke, as well as our senior services' rehabilitation programs, Tsemppi and Puhti.

If the mental health disorder persists or becomes more severe

Psychiatric emergency services
During the health stations' weekday opening hours, you can seek help from your own health station. For evenings and weekends, you can visit Meilahti Emergency Department.
Children's and young people's specialist appointments
We treat psychiatric and neurological disorders in children under 13 years of age, as well as moderate mental health disorders in young people aged 13-23.
Brief Therapy Unit
We offer brief therapy for Helsinki residents over the age of 13 with mild to moderate mental health challenges.
Psychiatric outpatient care
We provide psychiatric outpatient care at various locations, including Kalasatama, Laakso, Malmi and Vuosaari, as well as the outpatient care units within the Aurora Hospital area. To avail our services, a doctor's referral is necessary.
Psychiatric round-the-clock hospital care
Round-the-clock hospital care is designed for individuals requiring intensive psychiatric evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation.
Housing services for mental health clients
We provide services for Helsinki residents in mental health rehabilitation to support their living at home, as well as supported housing, communal housing and 24-hour service housing.
