What is it like to live at the Tilhi Group Home?
You can live your daily life in your own way. We listen to you and take your wishes and abilities into account, and plan your daily routines together so that they feel natural for you.
We respect your privacy and your right of self-determination. You can participate in our joint activities whenever it suits you, or spend time by yourself.
We bake once a week, allowing the scent of buns to fill the ward. We listen to the radio, watch TV and chat.
Facilities and accessibility
The Tilhi Group Home is located in accessible facilities in stairwell DE of the Syystie Senior Centre. Our bright and spacious premises are spread over two floors. There are 14 people living on the third floor and 13 people living on the fourth floor. Our sauna is on the fourth floor.
- The building has a lift.
- Moving between the areas is easy.
- The yard is peaceful and uncluttered.
- Both floors have two large balconies.
The facilities support a safe and smooth daily life. We have different lounging areas. You can choose to spend time together with others or by yourself.
Your room – your home
You will have your own room with its own bathroom. In some rooms, the bathroom is shared with another person. The room is your home, and you can decorate it with your own furniture, textiles and important belongings. This makes the environment feel familiar and safe.
Common areas
The common lounging room and dining areas allow you to spend time with the other residents and participate in joint activities. Your loved ones are also welcome to use the common areas.
Meals
You can enjoy your meals in the common dining area with the others or in your own room. We aim to take your meal preferences and your individual needs into consideration. We want everyone to be able to enjoy peaceful and pleasant mealtimes together.
You can also visit the Onni restaurant, which is open Mon–Fri 8.00–17.00.
Garden and local environment
You can spend time outdoors in the garden and the surrounding area. Nearby you’ll find:
- parks and recreational trails
- shops and other services
- good public transport connections
Being outdoors and the natural environment support your wellbeing and give meaning to your everyday life. If you are going outside with your loved one, you can ask a nurse to help with the preparations.

Your daily life is shaped according to your own daily routine. The day includes:
- basic care and support
