Autumn 2025 influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations

  • People aged 65 and over can book an appointment for influenza and COVID-19 vaccination in Maisa (maisa.fi and the Maisa app) or by phone at +358 9 310 46300 on weekdays from 8.00–16.00 (no call-back service).
  • Unfortunately, the telephone booking service is currently congested. We recommend calling again later, for example a few days from now.
  • For those under 65, appointment booking opens on 8 October in both Maisa and by phone.

Pakila support home

The Pakila Support Home provides targeted assistance to unhoused men nearing retirement or already retired, offering the necessary support and care.

Support services at the home are tailored to address various needs, such as substance use management or assistance with daily life tasks. Although you may require support, you have the capacity for independent living with the aid of support services. 

An instructor is available at the support home throughout the week from Monday to Friday. If necessary, we also collaborate with home care services in the area to ensure comprehensive support. 

The support home consists of 28 individual resident rooms, organised into four-person cellular units. Each unit features a shared kitchen, toilet and bathroom facilities. Additionally, residents have access to a sauna and a laundry room within the support home premises.

The route to the main entrance

  • The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
  • The route to the entrance is smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated.

  • The entrance has a ramp under 6 m long.
  • The doors connected to the entrance are hard to perceive. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens easily manually.
  • The foyer is cramped.

In the facility

  • The customer service point has two floors.
  • The facility has thresholds over 2 cm high.
  • The doors in the facility are hard to perceive.
  • The facility has a toilet marked as accessible on floor 0. The toilet does not have sufficient room for a wheelchair. One or both sides of the toilet seat lack a support rail.
