People can have a wide variety of harmless moles, blotches and spots on their skin. Harmless moles are usually symmetrically shaped, evenly coloured and have clear borders.
If you are worried about a mole or other skin change, you can send a photo to your team at your health station via Maisa. Based on the photo, a professional will assess whether booking a doctor's appointment is needed.
You can also book an appointment for a skin change examination by directly calling your health station or booking an appointment via Maisa. You can find the contact information of health stations at hel.fi/healthstations.
A doctor can remove any suspicious small moles at the health station, while a biopsy is performed on larger moles for further examinations. Please note that we only remove moles at the health station for medical reasons, not for cosmetic reasons.
